Crafting inclusive job descriptions: Best practices to attract diverse global talent
If you missed our event a couple of weeks ago, don’t worry! We have you covered here with our key takeaways and wonderful blog post recapping the discussion below.
For People and HR teams, writing a job description might seem like a chore—just one more task on an overflowing to-do list. This might be why job postings are often full of uninspired language and corporate clichés.
However, this seemingly banal document is actually the first touchpoint in the candidate experience—which means it’s important to write it in a way that speaks to and attracts the right people to your organization. If you’re a remote or distributed company that hires across geographies, it’s especially crucial to craft job descriptions that will appeal to diverse candidates from around the world.

Building Your Personal Brand in a Remote World
We also had another exciting event recently I’d love to shout about. On April 16th, members of our People Builders community came together to discuss the challenges of cultivating our personal brand as people people. Kim Rohrer , Co-Founder of PeakHR and and Eleonora Guagnino , Senior Director of Onboarding Success and Community, walked us through a thought-provoking workshop, equipping us with strategies on how to better communicate our impact both within and outside of our work places.
This was such a great professional development opportunity for our community, and to ensure the rest of our People Builders could also utilize the tips from the workshop, one of our People Builders Ambassadors, Gill, has captured the key takeaways on this interactive worksheet below.
