Retro – London People Builders event 🇬🇧
There's nothing like meeting People Builders... IN REAL LIFE! It was such a delight to host some of our London-based People Builders at Bar Daskal. The energy in the room was buzzing from start to finish, the discussions were so insightful, and the solutions created together were beyond inspiring.
Some of my favourite moments from the eve? Despite the diversity of roles, backgrounds, and companies represented, it was remarkable to discover that many of us share such similar challenges. This reaffirmed the importance of coming together, exchanging ideas, and collaboratively shaping solutions.
On top of that, each member pledged to enact one actionable change within the upcoming week. A small, realistic action aimed at creating real progress, and we're holding each other accountable every step of the way! Our mission extends beyond connections & workshops; it's about empowering ourselves to create the change we want to see in our workplaces.
We dove deep with an interactive workshop all about the skills for the future of work. Some of the fantastic insights included:
Embracing change, fostering adaptability and a growth mindset from employees and advocating for a culture of continuous learning where employees are encouraged to acquire new skills and stay updated on industry trends.
Finding Mentors to support upskilling where experienced employees can mentor those looking to develop specific skills.
Navigating cultural differences and creating a psychologically safe environment where employees feel comfortable taking risks, sharing ideas, and expressing themselves openly, even in virtual settings.
Prioritizing initiatives that develop future skills by identifying key skill gaps within the organization and tailor training programs to address those specific needs
A heartfelt thank you is in order to each People Builder who contributed their invaluable insights, questions, and enthusiasm and a huge thank you to our very own People Builders Ambassador, Paola Tartaglione for co-hosting the event and all the support and energy you pour into the Community 💎
Keep your eyes peeled for future upcoming in-person events hosted by our other wonderful Ambassadors Mariss Rafuse and Gillian Jose-Riz 👀
